Seven visible employees. Standing around. You have to wait behind a sign until one decides to come to the window. There’s no hurry. Then you’re instructed to go sit on a bench until your name is called. As soon as you sit down, your name is called, because your request essentially entails a key stoke and a punch of the print button. Busy, busy, busy.
They suck at taking you serious on a serious matter EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE SOLID EVIDENCE.!! THEY ONLY THROW YOU A CASE NUMBER AND TELL YOU TO REPORT IF ANYTHING CHANGES.WHEN SOMETHING CHANGES THEY ONLY WRITE UP ANOTHER REPORT,SO YOU'RE LEFT WITH MULTIPLE REPORTS AND NOT ONE RESULT.
Richmond County's police force is a joke. Cops will harass you for no reason other than to be annoying & flaunt their Napoleon Complexes. I hope the newly elected Marshal and current Sheriff will enact some serious changes in the department. I will never apply for another position here nor will I feel like the law in this county has my best interests at heart.
All the reviews you're reading are pretty much true. From my standpoint, I tried to secure employment & went in for an interview. No one could tell me where I needed to go until I had to outright ask someone who's looking at me wandering around. Surely they recognize who is regularly in the facility versus who isn't. I had numerous officers look at me like I'm a problem & one even thought I was trying to eavesdrop on his conversation--then proceeded to leave instead of asking me if I needed assistance. I knew right then that this wasn't the place I wanted to work.
The interview was a disaster. Right off the bat, the "cop" interviewing me did not stand up nor did he shake my hand. He has a sense of entitlement that cops usually have but don't deserve. Needless to say, I knew I wouldn't get the job at that point. Gracefully finished the interview & he, again, was very rude by neither standing nor shaking my hand. I could tell by their questions that their main focus was protecting their own. Take from that statement what you will.
The Richmond County sheriff's office is one of the greatest sheriff's office! They are friendly and they always get close with the community!
I was pulled over by a Richmond County Sheriff's officer a month ago because he said i changed lanes to quickly so he had reason to believe that i was "under the influence." He was rude until he checked everything out and found out that i was trying to get home, then he was all nice and kind. Later that week, i was in an accident and the officer was rude and short with everyone until they left. After that he seemed more concerned and laid back. I think that these officers get a really bad rep, but they don't really do anything to help fix this situation. If only they all acted little more nice at the beginning.
