I wish I was able to give this company a zero rating. I made reservations for a vehicle to pick up at 10. It so happens my flight was delayed and did not get into GA until 1230. After waiting at the counter for 30 mins for a representative to show up, she helped the customer in front of me and then when it's my turn she tells me the reservation has been cancelled and that they only hold them for 2 hours. That seems mighty strange when your business is in the airport and you deal with people flying in and out and have to be flexible due to flight schedules. I was very disappointed as she didn't go out her way to assist me or put me in another vehicle. So after traveling from NY to be with my family for the death of my moms brother I had to deal with the unprofessionalism of your employee. I am very grateful for the service I received from the lady at the Avis car rental place. She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I will never use Thrifty/Dollar rental service in Augusta airport again. And if you're looking to rent a car from them, I'd think twice.
There was a crazy lady in front of me that was so rude, and the staff was as pleasant as they could be.
Stay away at all costs. Service was abhorrent and manager doesn't seem to care. If you have any issue, be prepared to wait through a call center to get a hold of anyone, then maybe speak to someone, then most likely be unable to resolve your issue or have to do more work to resolve it.
The customer service is great! The staff does everything in their nature to be sure each customer is taken care of.
It seems that the customer thought that they were entitled to something because of their own problems in life. I looked at the previous reviews, and I did not encounter any problems at pick up nor when I dropped off the car. I got a super nice Dodge Charger at an upgraded rate IT WAS SO WORTH IT! The car had a Hemi engine, nice wheels, I loved it! Thanks ladies again, you made my trip a blast!
A compact car was reserved for a long trip (several months). When I landed and got a car, it was like they reserved a car without actually knowing what was in stock. I was given a huge truck. I called about a week later to try and get a compact car and was told to come in the next morning they would have one. I arrived and was told they did not have one and they could only give me a smaller truck. So I am stuck driving a truck since they cannot get their crap together. I will continue to try and trade out for a compact car but I don't have much faith in them.
This isn't a place to rent. Substandard service, constantly late in getting your rental to you. Attempt to charge you for services not rendered. Do not rent from here!
