With my girlfriend in tears, late to work, driving a car she can't begin to handle properly, I naturally call Thrifty to complain and try to calmly work out a solution. Customer Service, Brenda to be specific, was extremely helpful and accommodating. She spoke with JENNIFER (not so helpful or accommodating) about getting the pickup swapped out for a different car. We were told be would receive a call by 12 midnight that night, apologies all around for the inconvenience, and would be given a new car.

I beg that anyone who reads this use ENTERPRISE, HERTZ, AVIS, any company OTHER THAN THRIFTY.

It seems that the customer thought that they were entitled to something because of their own problems in life. I looked at the previous reviews, and I did not encounter any problems at pick up nor when I dropped off the car. I got a super nice Dodge Charger at an upgraded rate IT WAS SO WORTH IT! The car had a Hemi engine, nice wheels, I loved it! Thanks ladies again, you made my trip a blast!

NO CALL. NO CALL the next day, NO CALL the following day. So out of patience (36 hours after we were told we would be receiving a call) I call back...

***If you value your safety, run the other direction*** I rented a vehicle in order to have a reliable vehicle for a very long car trip with two small children. The car I was given had a slow leak in the driver's side front tire. Noticed after filling up there was a red arrow on the tire?? Not on the others. The Baltimore location thought this was very disturbing, had me take photos of the tire. Etc. They couldn't trade out cars at that location due to Augusta not being a corporate location. They did however, try to fix the tire and told me the Augusta location should compensate me on the bill for my troubles. Don't even attempt that. Had extra charges on my bill, credited me 25 dollars, which barely covers the 20 worth of air I put in the tire. That aside, my main concern is the jeopardy my family was placed in by being given an unsafe vehicle. When I asked for service records on the vehicle, I was told they had nothing on record and things got ugly from there. Contact corporate, they don't care, BBB, lawyer. It was basically like a challenge and they couldn't care less. How this place is still in business is beyond me. Still plan on contacting BBB, and the corporate office. What a horrible representation for the company. The Baltimore location's staff was excellent. How these folks are still employed is beyond me. Never renting from them again.

Today, I call customer service again, explain why we couldn't make arrangements to swap out the car and put in a request to do so today and if we could extend our rental an extra day - ideally at Thrifty's expense due to inconvenience and for paying for a rental that was barely used because it could barely be driven. Once again, BRENDA, was extremely helpful in contacting JENNIFER and putting in the request.

AUGUSTA, GA - You have the most DISGUSTING customer service/experience I have ever been witness to. I am going to make it my personal mission to make sure that no one EVER uses your company again. The experience my girlfriend was put through and how we've been treated throughout our entire rental can't be described as anything less than DISGUSTING, UNPROFESSIONAL, DEPLORABLE, WORTHLESS and any other negative word someone can use to describe the HORRIBLE treatment of one human being to another. Last I checked, the customer PAYS you to provide a service.

After explaining what happened to Brenda in customer service, she contacts JENNIFER, again. They make arrangements for the car to be swapped out, however, at this point, its so late in the day, we can't swap it out with my girlfriend's work schedule.

Upon arrival, my girlfriend was told she could not use her debit card without proof of insurance, otherwise, would need to use a major credit card. Fine. She calls me, I add her to my insurance. By the time she returned to the counter, the employee cancelled her reservation and gave away her rental. I checked my phone, I was on with the insurance company (Progressive, phenomenal guest service, kudos) for 8 minutes. SO WITHIN 10 MINUTES, THRIFTY CANCELLED HER RESERVATION AND GAVE AWAY HER CAR stating she was not "qualified" for her reservation. 10 MINUTES! NOW, being a "qualified" customer and 2 HOURS of waiting for a car, they did my 5'6", 100 lbs girlfriend a favor and gave her a Dodge Ram 1500. Which, was on the lot the entire 2 hours they kept her waiting.

The customer service is great! The staff does everything in their nature to be sure each customer is taken care of.

There was a crazy lady in front of me that was so rude, and the staff was as pleasant as they could be.

We had a confirmed reservation, showed up, only to be told they were out of cars. Literally, out of cars. Just like the Seinfeld episode - "You know how to take the reservation, but you don't know how to hold the reservation, and that really is the most important part of the reservation, the holding."

I would give them ZERO stars if I could.

JENNIFER, calls me looking for my girlfriend. I explain the situation and immediately she begins arguing with me. Explaining that she would not make any accommodations for us for our inconvenience, that we were lucky to receive a vehicle at all since we cancelled our reservation and that we had best return the truck with a full tank of gas. WE CANCELLED OUR RESERVATION??? I continued to explain the situation to which JENNIFER could barely be bothered to listen or to not talk over me, sorry for wasting your time JENNIFER. I explained that I would contact the BBB, Augusta Chamber of Commerce, Thrifty Corporate, etc. to explain my frustration and her terrible business practice. JENNIFER COULD NOT CARE LESS and told me to have a great day.

Jessica was an angel this evening at AGS! The customer service was amazing, detailed & quick. I'm really am impressed with Thrifty. They have great rates and new vehicles! PS: they still take debit cards. I will definitely renting from them again & will spread the word!

Thank you Thrifty. Been on planes & layovers for almost 10 hours, just want to get to the hotel to relax, and your grotesque incompetence screws us. It will be a long, long, long, long, long, long long, long time until we'd make a reservation with ANY Thrifty facility again.
