This place actually has great seafood. I almost didn't come due to the fried seafood pictures which is not my style. However, walking by I noticed the advertised crawfish and crablegs so I decided to.check it out. It was fantastic. Dave and Alexis were great.
He took his whole family to Beamie's for his Daughter-in-laws birthday dinner. It consisted of a party of nine people, 4 children and 5 adults. They ordered their food and when the waiter finally brought out the food it was only half of the party's food. The waiter told him that the rest of the food would be out in a few minutes. In the mean time, other people that had come in after this party of 9, and ordered, got their food and was eating. It took 18 minutes for them to finish getting their food. After waiting this amount of time, the food was cold and not very good, plus the kids never did get their french fries that was suppose to go with their meals. The waiter kept telling them he was sorry, that they were having a problem in the kitchen, but, if there was a problem with the kitchen help, why were other party's in the restaurant getting their food? The total for this meal was $129.00. Not one person in charge ever came to the table to apologize or offer them a refund. I think it's safe to say that he and his family won't be going back or telling other people about this horrible place to eat.
Excellent service. The food was served very fast as fresh. I had a Cuban. One of the best I've had avid I grew up near Miami. The staff was friendly and quick.
Good food. Good service. Great prices. It is a short walk to the river front which allows you to have a nice walk after eating. It is certainly not the fanciest place but good solid seafood in a no frills kind of atmosphere.

Food was bland for my taste. The gumbo was somewhat tasty but mostly because it was overwhelmed with pepper. The hush puppies were cooked too fast so it was brown on the outside but uncooked in the middle.
Catfish was not seasoned very well.
Waitress was wonderful and the atmosphere was nice but don't go for the food
