While I did not have to write this review, I felt I should tell my story to allow others, especially those with senior parents, to benefit from my experience. At the point my dad needed extended specialty care, investigated my possible solutions. Let me just say we received extraordinary care. Select seems to relate to both young and old. My dad and I were there for 6 weeks. The team of care givers we had were caring and very competent. The biggest difference was they worked with me. They have chosen medical professionals who show empathy not just sympathy for your loved ones. They seem to care enough to understand how difficult it is for the patient and they cared enough to go to extra effort to accommodate and help. They are not just a check the box organization. We were assigned a super doctor. Doctor Cato. He paid attention to every piece of info when making decisions. The nurses connect with people. Senior care is very difficult for the patients, the family, care givers and medical professionals. It is complex medical care and seniors need an advocate. . I am just an everyday non-medical individual trying to assess all of this and get my parents good care. It's overwhelming. The Select staff and hospital, made that possible for me. They are an extraordinary hospital with a great approach and great staff. They obviously have very good leadership. If you have to make a decision and Select is a possibility, I would highly recommend this hospital. Good care is very hard to find. You cannot be only a visitor. You must be a part of the team and Select seems to welcome this when others do not. If you plan to outsource the care of a loved one and become a visitor you will always find disappointment. Thank you Select for the excellent care.
Wouldn't advise anyone to use this place for care, due to mis-information, hospital promised physical therapy, none was done unless complained. Wouldn't go there for treatment, tell you one thing and another will tell you something else. Bad communication.
The worst experience, think before putting a love one in that place.
Looked clean and nursing staff were nice.
My wife was in this hospital with a brain injury in the fall of 2004 while they were still located in the Georgia Medical Hospital. The service was great and her care was superb. I highly recommend this facility.
